Capt. Mike: Here's the question I asked that day. Tap your answer.
When two aircrafts are converging at approximately the same altitude, which statement applies?
Question 1.05 of TP 11919E, Department of Transport, Canada; reproduced with the Department's permission.
TC's answer
4Gliders shall give way to balloons.
Explanation
CARs 602.19(2)(c): "a glider shall give way to balloons." A balloon can barely steer at all, so it has the right of way over every other category.
Memory tip: The balloon always wins: it is the least manoeuvrable aircraft in the sky.
