Capt. Mike: Here's the question I asked that day. Tap your answer.
A pilot has donated a unit of blood. According to the TC AIM, the pilot should wait at least how long before flying?
The answer
448 hours
Explanation
TC AIM AIR 3.12: in some people 'the loss of blood causes disturbances to the circulation that may last for several days', so 'active pilots should not donate blood, but if blood has been donated they should wait at least 48 hr before flying.'
Memory tip: Gave blood? Wait 48 hours.
